Description

A simple and delicious 3-ingredient pasta recipe combining spaghetti, marinara sauce, and creamy Boursin cheese, ready in just 20 minutes for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1 (16-ounce) package spaghetti

Sauce

  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (5.2-ounce) package Boursin Cheese (Garlic and Fine Herbs or Basil and Chive flavor)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Prepare the spaghetti according to the package instructions in salted boiling water, but do not drain the water.
  2. Heat the marinara sauce: While the pasta cooks, pour the marinara sauce into a large skillet over medium heat until warmed through.
  3. Add the Boursin cheese: Add the Boursin cheese to the skillet and use a spoon to break it up into the sauce.
  4. Simmer the sauce: Reduce the heat to a low simmer and stir continuously until the Boursin cheese has completely melted and combined with the sauce.
  5. Combine pasta and sauce: When the pasta is al dente, use a pasta fork or tongs to transfer it directly from the pot to the skillet, letting excess water drain before adding it.
  6. Toss and season: Toss the pasta gently in the sauce to coat thoroughly. Taste and add additional salt if needed.
  7. Serve: Serve the pasta warm as either a hearty side dish or a satisfying entree.

Notes

  • The pasta water should be salted to enhance the flavor of the noodles.
  • Do not drain all the pasta water – some residual moisture helps in combining with the sauce.
  • Choose your preferred Boursin cheese flavor for a subtly different taste profile.
  • For added protein, grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp can be mixed in before serving.
  • Optionally garnish with fresh basil or grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
