Ingredients
Scale
Cheesecake Mixture
- 1 ripe avocado
- 200 grams smoked salmon
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 100 grams sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon dill, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Crust
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the cheesecake.
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the ripe avocado, cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, chopped dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend the mixture until it is completely smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate Salmon: Gently fold the smoked salmon into the blended mixture, making sure it is evenly distributed without breaking the salmon too much.
- Fill Crust: Pour the creamy mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust. Smooth the top evenly with a spatula for a clean finish.
- Bake: Place the filled crust in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and firm to the touch but not browned.
- Cool and Chill: Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool completely. Then refrigerate it for at least 2 hours to let it fully set and chill before serving.
- Serve: Serve the savory avocado and salmon cheesecake chilled. Optionally, garnish with additional dill and slices of smoked salmon for an elegant presentation and enhanced flavor.
Notes
- The avocado should be ripe and soft to ensure a creamy texture in the cheesecake.
- Use fresh dill for the best flavor, but dried dill can be substituted if necessary.
- Do not over-blend the smoked salmon into the mixture to maintain texture and visual appeal.
- Make sure the cheesecake is well chilled before serving to allow flavors to meld.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute the graham cracker crust with a gluten-free crust alternative.
